I don't want to die - Xólotl

The sacrifice of the God Xólotl was required among others gods, to make the sun move across the sky, otherwise the earth will be scorched, but afraid to die the god flee, transform himself in to a maguey, but even so he was found. So he ran again turning himself this time into a corn plant, but Ehecatl the god of wind was a good hunter and was able to found Xólotl again, who fleeing one last time took refuge into the water turning himself in an axolotl, and this is why the god Xólotl it is known to be strange, magical, and able to change his appearance but even he, was unable to hide from Ehecatl, and was sacrificed for the sun and the moon.
